Who

First I'd like to introduce myself - my name is Dale Campbell and I started 'done by dale' Web Design in 1998 after years of climbing the corporate ladder where I specialized in marketing presentations.   My experience positioned me perfectly to use my creative ability and practical know-how to design web sites.  However, my clients tell me that 'a strong work ethic and a lot of patience' is also important.

When I first started, very few businesses even knew what a website was but as the internet grew, things have definitely changed.  Today almost all businesses either have or need a website. And, of course, everything sounds so easy – 'build it and they will come'.

Nice slogan, but unfortunately not always true.

Reality is, many small business owners feel overwhelmed by all the 'web' details.  Websites that were once just ‘pretty pictures’, now require marketing strategy, optimization, interactive designs and more.  Business owners want someone to guide them through the gauntlet of internet choices so their website works well and they understand what is going on.  In other words,  they want someone who understands business as well as technology, who has ‘been there – done that’ and can translate 'tech geek' into business terms they can understand.

Truth be told, the best websites still consist of a good dash of common sense.

What makes all this so important?   It's simple - it's all about people
