At one time I also lived outside of Toronto and quickly discovered that it really didn't matter where I (or my client) lived. As well, I found telephone meetings actually accomplished the same results as meeting in person - sometimes more!
It is not uncommon to have a 'telephone meeting' with my client to look over a completed website or requested updates to their website - plus take the opportunity to discuss client concerns, new ideas, future needs, etc. The client is in their office in front of their computer and I in mine - no travel - no hassles.
We simply set up time/day to meet/call - and get'er done!
